Living in a Wiggly World

Mark on August 24th, 2008

While I’m busy workin’ (and playing) here in the back room at Creative Journey Cafe, I’ve called upon the late, great philosopher Alan Watts to come entertain and enlighten you.

Here he is (video below) discussing man-made things vs. nature. So fire up the incense, pour yourself a cup of green tea (on the house), and get ready to meditate and contemplate this wiggly world we live in.

  1. Mark, I loved this! And you know what I loved the most? It was actually the background noises. The birds, the wind in the grasses and trees. Took my right back to every weekend as a child, sitting on a hill in the middle of the countryside, just listening and observing. I am very wiggly myself, and I become quite claustrophobic in a world of straight lines and boxes. And dear lord, help me, I work for the federal government. Talk about the anti-thesis of wiggliness! Ah, now if I could take myself off on our boat, floating on the water, with the scene in this video clip on the horizon, I would be a very creative woman indeed.

  2. Urban Panther - I’m so glad you enjoyed it. Take those windy, breezy, birdy noises with you to work, keep them tucked inside yourself for safe keeping, and retreat to them whenever the government gives you a headache. Thanks for being the lone commenter! ;)
