Did you hear about what happened at Tim Russert’s memorial service?

Apparently, as the service ended and everyone exited the building, the ukulele version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow was played (from Russert’s own iPod) through the speakers.

When people went outside to the rooftop terrace for the reception, they couldn’t believe their eyes.

A huge double rainbow appeared in the sky.

Here’s a video of the news reports. See for yourself:

  1. Wow! God is so incredably AWESOME! What a great idea to show people there is an afterlife and that he does exist! My heart is singing. :O)

  2. This gave me chills!! How amazing.

  3. Laurie - my heart is singing too. (out of key, but it’s singing.)

Kim - I feel your chills from way over here! This gave me chills too.

  4. Hi Mark,

I saw that on TV. It was awesome. What a great time to have it appear. After the memorial service for a wonderful man. I’m guessing it made many think twice about believing in a higher power. (and that’s good) :)

  5. Barbara - I’m always blown away by those types of synchronistic moments. It’s the timing of it all - how the events align precisely - perfectly…

  6. That is wonderful, to actually see Gods love, and the idea that our loved ones can and do reach out to us after they are gone.

  7. G-d works in mysterious ways!! It was Tim also saying he was ok. Maybe the double rainbow was Tim and G-d hanging out together? Nice thought!!! :)
