Why We Need YOU To Create
“People think the Beatles know what’s going on. We don’t. We’re just doing it.”
- John Lennon
Can you imagine what life would be like without the following creations?
- The Sistine Ceiling
- Star Wars
- Frank Sinatra music
- Starbucks
- Spider-Man
- Steven Spielberg movies
- Dorothy Parker poems
- Disney World
- Meryl Streep movies
- The Wizard of Oz
- Seinfeld
What about a world without baseball, soccer, or tennis?
Somebody - someone - had to create all this stuff, right? Maybe someone like…you?
What if those people gave up too soon, threw in the towel, or let low self-esteem prevent them from even trying?
What if they listened to their critics - the ones who laughed at them and said their ideas were stupid, ridiculous, and impractical?
Can you imagine that?
Do you have a dream to create something fantastic?
Why not go for it? What have you got to lose?
We need you to create the next BIG thing that we can’t imagine living without!

Mark,
THANK YOU FOR SAYING THIS! I can’t agree more. People often ask me what is their purpose for being. Other than to be one with their source or the moment, the only answer I have is to create - ANYTHING.
When we create we share with this world what and who we are. The other day I looked around my condo and realized that it was full of the handywork of someone. Even the guy working in the factory operating the automated machines, is a part of creating the furniture I sit on or the car I drive. WE need the offerings of the human race. We need other cultures to share their grace with us, and us with them.
I could go on…one of my favorite topics. Thank you for this encouragement!
Harmony - I’m glad you enjoyed the post. You raise another good point - everything around us (chairs, buildings, cars) was first an invisible idea, and then often drawn as a picture before further manifested.
I love your enthusiasm. Keep it coming!
Mark,
Fabulous post. I staunchly believe in power of our own dreams. If we allow our destiny to be defined by others, we won’t have a destiny. We will have a journey full of roadside bumps. I’ve written an article recently related to what you’ve discussed here. Please visit and comment if you like the content.

Shilpan, thank you and welcome! Come back anytime.
Hi Mark,
Such great insight, and a good reminder for all of us to pursue our dreams, no matter how big or small.
Everything starts with a dream, why can’t it be ours?
I love to create things. I do stained glass, a little pottery, and I make wire and beaded crosses. I have just started my own business centered around a creative idea I had and am seeing it through (see site linked to my name for the business. It is very original!) This has really ignited my passion. I can’t wait to get the rest of my business firmed up and started. We plan to start presenting my canyon in August. I am PUMPED!!! :O)
@Barbara - yes! I always think about this. Motivation, passion, and action - if “they” can do it why not you or me?
@Laurie - Go Laurie Go! I’m excited for you. That’s a world I know nothing about. Bravo!
I love Dorothy Parker and her poems.
Mary-Kate: That’s so funny. When I included Dorothy Parker in my list I had no idea why. Sort of a random choice. And now I know!
She my kind of lady- sassy and tells it like it is.
