Springtime Reminders
“There came a time when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” - Anais Nin
Ah, Spring. Time to grow, time to shine, time to blossom…
Time to emerge, time to play, time to show our true colors…
O spring! May the warm air thaw our frozen hearts. May the gentle breeze blow the dust off our imaginations. May the sunlight illuminate our hidden creative genius.
Here’s to spring! Let it remind you that the grass is always greener on your side. Let the blue sky reveal a clear path to your destiny. May you sing as bravely as the first morning bird!
It’s spring! Who knows what magic awaits around the corner. Have faith with every step on your creative journey. You never know - you might discover a mysterious garden.

Hi Mark,
That’s beautiful!
Now if our weather would cooperate and quit giving us snow, I’ll have a chance to “blossom”.
Barbara - Where do you live, Siberia? It’s almost May!
Well I’m in the UK so we have vague ideas of Spring then rain, a bit more rain - oh and then some rain *grin*
However, Spring is my absolute favourite time of year. At the weekend I went out into the countryside and watched the lambs skipping across the fields, birds nesting, daffodils blowing and new life springing everywhere. An inspirational season
Spring! Offering spoonfuls of a decided restlessness, and a yearning for that which is often indescribable. Looking at the brilliant sky, and the changing patterns of the stars, one feels a kind of hope, as well as a bittersweet nostalgia that only the change of a season can bring.
But the Spring season naturally, and specifically, suggests renewal and rebirth - so the longing and the course of action go hand in hand. The motivation for movement is heightened. Closets are emptied. Wood piles get sorted out. Hearts open again in expectation, along with the flowers.
@Leah - Skipping lambs and daffodils! What’s springier than that?
@Ophelia - Indeed - I’ve been spring cleaning all week! Thanks for your musings.
Hi Mark,
No, not Siberia, but Oregon, real close to the Cascade Mountain range. Our weather is totally unpredictable/unforecastable. Currently it’s warming up, but our nights still get below freezing. I really can’t complain though, as we get tons of sunshine, and it’s beautiful country.
